Reviver, a time-based narrative puzzle game by Cotton Game (chinese studio), is set to release on iOS and Android this winter. Known for its unique take on the butterfly effect, Reviver explores the power of small changes in the lives of two protagonists, Carlos and Felicia. Players work within a single room, navigating through time to alter events and ultimately bring these two together.
In Reviver, you won’t interact directly with Carlos and Felicia. Instead, the story unfolds through diary entries, photos, and news articles, with players piecing together the protagonists’ experiences and influencing their fates. Each time-jump transforms the room to reflect new realities shaped by the player’s choices, making it a thoughtful journey that emphasizes narrative depth over typical puzzle-solving.
Reviver, which will be a premium game, seems to be an uninterrupted and immersive experience. The game will be available on Steam too, and I guess the mobile version will offer a heartfelt exploration of time’s impact on relationships, making it an exciting option if you want to try something different. Devs haven’t published the store links yet, but the pre-register may come soon. You can follow their X/Twitter account for more updates.
