In celebration of the fourth anniversary of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin (Tensui no Sakuna Hime), developer Edelweiss and publisher Marvelous have announced a mobile game (management simulator), set to launch on Android and iOS. This new game is underway, expanding the franchise’s captivating blend of action, Japanese mythology, and farming simulation. I know it is being produced by TOHO Games, and will introduce fans to new characters and settings, with more details to be unveiled as pre-registration approaches.
The announcement comes with news about a sequel to the Tensui no Sakuna Hime anime, following its popular initial run in mid-2024. Additionally, Marvelous has announced a new console game titled Sakunahime Gaiden: Kokorowa and the Gears of the World of Thought, featuring a new protagonist, Kokorowa, a high-ranking deity and close friend of the original game’s protagonist, Sakunahime.
