Chinese dev YoMio BeYoung has officially opened recruitment for the closed beta test of Scarlet Tide: ZeroERA, a 2.5D horizontal turn-based RPG that combines sandbox exploration with tactical combat. The beta will be available on Android and iOS in mainland China, with a limited number of participants required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before joining.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world known as Qi Ling, the game follows a cast of young male characters—referred to as “Shota”—who are the last survivors of a mysterious force that nearly wiped out humanity over a thousand years. Players will engage in strategic battles, explore dynamic environments, and unlock rare characters through gacha mechanics. The game emphasizes character bonding, tactical positioning, and resource management across a sandbox map.
This is the first update after the announcement last year. To apply for the beta, users must complete a recruitment questionnaire and submit their WeChat or QQ contact information. Selected testers will receive confirmation via those platforms, you can get more information on the official X account. While the CBT will feature an in-development build, feedback will be used to work on the gameplay and content ahead of full release.
