Indie dev Tony Dong has released Scattered Verse, a new word platformer with a nice focus on poetry, on iOS (Android coming soon). This creative game challenges players to collect scattered letters throughout 30 dreamlike levels, each set to serene music, to complete classic poems by celebrated writers like Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson. With easy drag-to-move controls, the game provides a tranquil experience that merges platforming with wordplay, inviting players to appreciate poetry in a new way.
Scattered Verse seeks to achieve an calming environment, at the same time being an educational experience. The game looks pretty good, the animations are smooth although I do recommend using headphones when playing, the music is really nice.
But is it not a free game. The game is available for $2.99 in the iOS App Store, and for those on Android, there’s an upcoming version in the works. For those who appreciate casual, meditative games, Scattered Verse its a solid option to try. More updates can be found on its official page.
