Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Extend has officially announced that its beloved female-oriented adventure game Side Kicks! Beyond (サイドキックス ビヨンド) will launch on June 5, 2025, for Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch. This updated version of the original Side Kicks!, first released in 2017 for PlayStation Vita, will include expanded content and crossover chapters.
Set in a fictional California plagued by the spread of a highly toxic drug, Side Kicks! tells the story of a special investigation unit formed by the local police. This team, named “Side Kicks,” is composed of individuals with unique skill sets who work together to expose corruption and fight crime. The narrative offers an engaging blend of mystery, drama, and romance, making it a standout in the female-oriented gaming genre.
The voice cast for Side Kicks! Beyond features renowned actors such as Kaito Ishikawa, Koji Yusa, Yusuke Shirai, Shota Aoi, Tomokazu Sugita, Kenjiro Tsuda, and Shotaro Morikubo. These performances bring to life the game’s compelling story and its vibrant cast of characters. In addition to remastered content from the original release, Side Kicks! Beyond introduces a new chapter and a special crossover chapter with BUSTAFELLOWS, another popular title from eXtend.
The game will be available in several editions, but the first release will be limited to Japan. The standard Nintendo Switch version is priced at 8,580 yen ($55), while a deluxe edition, featuring additional collectibles, will cost 10,780 yen.
