Tencent Games Studio Shanghai BOKURA has release the first trailer for Star Resonance (星痕共鸣), a cross-platform MMORPG for PC and smartphones. Building upon the world of Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol, Tencent has reimagined the game with redesigned gameplay, story, and user interface, bringing a fresh perspective to this IP. The game invites players to join the “Star Initiation Test,” a limited beta running from December 6 to December 19, 2024.
Set in the fantasy world of Regnus, Star Resonance places adventurers in the midst of a chaotic planet, plagued by imbalance and unrest. Players must restore harmony and unlock the mysterious “power of the stars,” allowing for seamless exploration across varied terrains, including walls, cliffs, and cityscapes. With anime-inspired visuals, deep customization options for characters, and epic battles against dragons and other powerful foes, the game promises a rich and immersive experience.
The beta will offer dual-platform play for PC and Android, allowing participants to explore this world while testing cooperative raids, customizable avatars, and even lighter, social gameplay elements like dancing and farming. Applications for beta access are open (questionnaire in Chinese via QQ) on the official Star Resonance website, with results to be announced on December 23, 2024.
