After the limited PC release, iDreamSky Studio has officially announced the technical beta test for Strinova, its upcoming anime-style tactical shooter, now open for Android and iOS players in SEA. First revealed at Tencent SPARK 2024, Strinova is a sort of fast-paced shooter with a unique “Stringify” ability, allowing players to switch between 3D and 2D forms mid-battle.
Set in the multidimensional realm of Strinova, players take on the role of Superstring Agents, each belonging to different factions with specialized abilities. The game features five distinct roles—Duelist, Sentinel, Support, Controller, and Vanguard—each offering unique tactical advantages. With game modes like Escort, Team Arena, and Demolition, Strinova aims to deliver a competitive shooter experience tailored for mobile.
One of the standout features is the Dormitory system, which allows players to bond with their favorite Agents through interactions and gifts, adding a social and RPG-like element to the game. While Strinova has already launched on PC via Steam, the mobile version is expected to retain core mechanics while optimizing controls for touchscreen gameplay.
The technical beta test is a limited deletion test, meaning all progress will be wiped after the testing phase. Unlike many mobile betas, Strinova will not include paid content, ensuring a fair testing environment for participants. Players interested in joining the beta can apply via Strinova’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, where the Exploration Test Recruitment announcement is live (it will be in english). Selected participants will receive an invitation email before the test begins. More info on the official Strinova website.
