Publisher Snapbreak Games has announced the upcoming release of The Abandoned Planet, a point-and-click adventure developed by solo developer Jeremy Fryc of Dexter Team Games. Set to release on November 5th for iOS and Android, the game invites players to explore an alien world in stunning 2D-pixel graphics.
Inspired by classic adventure games like Myst and Riven, The Abandoned Planet follows an astronaut stranded on a mysterious planet after passing through a wormhole. Players will solve puzzles, uncover the fate of the planet’s lost inhabitants, and find a way home. The game comes fully voiced and packed with atmospheric visuals.
This game reminds me of the excellent animated series Scavengers Reign, available on HBO. That’s reason enough to give it a try. It is available on Steam if you are in PC, and of course, in the Google Play Store for Android or the iOS App Store where you can pre-order.
