Hong Kong-based BBGame Studio has officially opened pre-registration for its upcoming strategy game, Yakuza City of Wars. Licensed by Sega’s iconic Yakuza series, this is a MMO strategy simulation game. Pre-registration is now available in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, the SEA region.
The game will feature characters from the Yakuza series, including Kiryu Kazuma, Kasuga Ichiban, and Majima Goro. It will also include a voice cast. The game focuses on turf wars in the underworld, challenging players to secure resources, expand their territory, and rise to power on Bliss Isle. Alliances play a critical role, encouraging teamwork and strategy on an unprecedented scale.
Now, speaking a bit about the game and the publisher, it would be good to keep expectations low. BBGames is not a big studio, hasn’t released many successful games and doesn’t have a major online presence. But it does have the Yakuza license, so it could have something good on its hands, or it could just be another game that appeals only to fans.
