About Square Enix

Square Enix is a Japanese video game developer and publisher formed in 2003 through the merger of Square and Enix, with headquarters in Tokyo. It is home to some of the most iconic franchises in gaming, including Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts and NieR, and publishes across console, PC and mobile.

The company keeps finding new formats for its classic IPs, most recently with two mobile projects. Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, developed with NHN PlayArt, brings the series’ crossover battles to mobile as a free-to-play action RPG in which teams of legendary heroes race to defeat roaming monsters and massive bosses in 3v3 arenas. Square Enix also publishes Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, a roguelite mobile RPG that swaps the series’ usual turn-based combat for fast, wave-based battles and procedurally generated missions.
