Gameloft and HarperCollins Productions have announced the return of Carmen Sandiego, a new single-player puzzle-adventure game set to release in Q1 2025. This will be a mobile release exclusively on Netflix. But will launch laterĀ on PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. Based on the original 1980s IP, the game visually nods to the recent Carmen Sandiego Netflix animated series (2019-2021).
Now, this game has a weird sense, because we are not going to catch Carmen, if not, we will be in her role, a turn of events that I do not know if it will please the fans of the franchise. As Carmen Sandiego herself, we will be navigating missions and using high-tech gadgets to outsmart the villainous VILE organization. The game promises a mix of classic clue-collecting and immersive city exploration, with a special “The Acme Files” mode paying tribute to the original 1980s games.
This new carmen game will be added to Netflix’s library, which by now has a significant catalog of games, a rather interesting bonus to its streaming service.
