Destiny: Rising, Bungie and NetEase brings Destiny to mobile

As we cover before, Destiny: Rising is the new free-to-play mobile RPG spacial fantasy shooter set in Bungie’s Destiny universe. The game is being developed by China-based NetEase Games and will be available on Android and iOS.

Unlike Destiny and Destiny 2, Destiny: Rising will feature a selection of pre-defined hero characters, including familiar faces like Ikora Rey (no news about Cayde-6), along with new characters. The game will combine PvE and PvP modes, allowing players to explore new locations such as Jiangshi and the Red Sea Rift. In addition to the usual powerful weapons, a new “Mythic” weapon rarity class has been introduced.

The game will feature both first- and third-person perspectives, with NetEase incorporating touchscreen controls and controller support. However, there are concerns about potential microtransactions, given NetEase’s track record with Diablo: Immortal.

This is a new take in the Destiny storyline (game and lore), I want to see the gameplay, we may have something nice here. Although no official release date has been provided, a closed alpha test is set to begin on November 1st for users in the U.S. and Canada. Players can register in the official website. More details on the full launch expected in the coming months.
