Toukana Interactive’s strategy city-builder, Dorfromantik, is officially coming to Android and iOS. The new release will come with a reimagined experience optimized for touchscreens. The game is known for its peaceful yet strategic gameplay, puzzle mechanics with city-building, and the beautiful landscapes players can create while completing quests and challenges.
Originally launched on PC and consoles, Dorfromantik gained popularity for its hand-painted visuals, relaxing atmosphere, and clever tile-placement mechanics. The mobile version, developed in collaboration with Clockstone Studio, introduces new game flow and mechanics, ensuring a smooth and intuitive experience for mobile players.
In Dorfromantik, players start with a stack of randomly generated tiles, placing and rotating them to expand their village landscape. By grouping similar terrains—such as forests, rivers, and towns—players earn points and unlock new biomes and quests. Special quest tiles add an extra layer of strategy, requiring players to meet specific conditions to gain additional tiles and extend their game session.
The mobile adaptation promises optimized controls, which is a must in order to make it easier to place and rotate tiles with precision. While the core gameplay remains unchanged, the developers have hinted at fresh mechanics designed specifically for touchscreen interaction. The game will be available on Android and iOS (you can check the Steam Page for PC now priced at $9.99), though an official release date has yet to be confirmed.
