Felicity’s Door, AREA35 unveils its new rhythm game at Tokyo Game Show 2024

More news come from Tokyo Game Show 2024. Japanese studio AREA35 showcased Felicity’s Door, a new rhythm game set to release in winter 2024 for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Developed over 10 years, Felicity’s Door aims to provide a high-quality musical experience featuring songs from musicians worldwide.

The game blends traditional rhythm mechanics with a focus on storytelling, where twin siblings Felicity and Tom journey through a dream world to rescue children. The gameplay includes tapping, holding, and sliding notes across six lines, with four difficulty levels. The game’s musical score was crafted by professional musicians, offering a unique rhythm challenge for players, especially those with a background in music.

With 42 songs available at launch and more to come as DLC, Felicity’s Door could stand out by combining a children’s fairy tale aesthetic with a sophisticated rhythm system, aiming to deliver a fresh take on the genre.

According to the official website, I can estimate that it will be a global version, or at least the Japanese version will be released first and then the global one. We don’t have links yet, but the official website shows several screenshots of the game and more information about the musical compositions.
