After the pre-registration phase, Com2uS Japan has announced the release date for Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice, the mobile adaptation of the hit survival city-building game Frostpunk. The game will be available for download on iOS and Android devices starting October 29, 2024.
Developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with the original creators, 11 Bit Studios, the mobile version brings the PC game to mobile devices with new features, including social elements and multiplayer options.
In Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice, players will navigate a frozen dystopian world where humanity faces a sudden ice age. As leaders of a steam-powered city, players must make tough moral choices, gather resources like coal and wood, and ensure the survival of their citizens in harsh conditions. The game introduces mobile-only content, including a “special industry” system where players choose one of five industries—such as agriculture or technology—and engage in trading with other users to strengthen their city.
The mobile version retains the dark, steampunk atmosphere of the original, but… it comes with simplified UI and visuals optimized for smartphones. Pre-registration is currently open until the release. Check in the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
