Girls Band Cry: First Riff – Musical drama anime game is coming to iOS and Android

Donuts Games has officially unveiled Girls Band Cry: First Riff, a mobile game adaptation of Toei Animation’s 2024 anime series Girls Band Cry. The title is currently in development for iOS and Android, with genre and release date yet to be disclosed. The release will be limited to Japan.

The announcement coincides with a broader expansion of the franchise, which includes two compilation films and a newly revealed original movie. The anime, which aired from April to June 2024, follows Nina Iseri—a high school dropout—and her journey into music alongside Momoka and other bandmates. The game is expected to build on this emotional narrative, possibly incorporating rhythm gameplay and RPG elements, though official mechanics remain under wraps.
