Korean dev Sesisoft has announced that Konosuba: Fantastic Days is set to end its service globally on January 30, 2025. Originally launched as a gacha game based on the popular Konosuba anime series, Fantastic Days was a nice game with full voice-acted stories and frequent character-driven events. Despite the game’s dedicated following and good production quality, including contributions from top-tier voice actors like Sora Amamiya and Rie Takahashi, the developers cited challenges in maintaining the player base as a reason for discontinuation.
The game, which operated on a stage-based, auto-play battle format, provided straightforward gameplay and relied heavily on the Konosuba characters and storyline to keep players engaged. However, over the years, maintaining regular updates with fully voiced events and storylines became costly, ultimately leading to its closure.
A limited offline version will be available post-service only in Japan, allowing fans there to revisit the story and characters. Unfortunately, players of the global version will not have access to an offline option, marking the end of Fantastic Days for international audiences.
RIP Kazuma.
