Nexon Korea has released a new trailer for Mabinogi Mobile (마비노기 모바일), which could means a potential launch in March 2025. The trailer, released on January 31, 2025, teases the game’s arrival with the message “COMING SOON 2025.03. While specific details remain scarce, this announcement come after a long silence about this korean MMORPG.
Developed by devCAT Studio, the team behind the original “Mabinogi” which has been captivating players since 2005, Mabinogi Mobile will bring the beloved fantasy life experience to smartphones. The game was first announced in 2017 and made its playable debut in 2018. After several years of development and subsequent showcases, including a notable appearance at G-STAR in 2022, the mobile adaptation seems to finally coming.
The original Mabinogi is renowned for its combat, social interactions, crafting and music composition to dungeon exploration. The mobile version is expected to retain these core elements while introducing features optimized for handheld devices. A significant point of discussion revolves around the game’s monetization model. Given the prevalence of gacha mechanics in many mobile games, we should consider it will get some gacha elements.
