Megido 72 (メギド72) – End of Service announced after 7-year run, offline mode coming

Megido 72 (メギド72), the tactical RPG that launched in December 2017, will conclude its online service on March 9, 2025, after 7.2 years of operation. In a gesture of appreciation to its loyal players, the game will be updated to an offline version, allowing fans to continue their journey with minimal disruption.

Players will be able to carry over most of their data, including characters (Megidos), orbs, relics, items, and progress through quests. The offline version will maintain key features such as the main story, event quests, and character customization, while certain online-exclusive functions, like co-attack events and the Coliseum, will be discontinued. Summoning will also be limited to tickets only, as magic gems and Solomon tickets will no longer be usable.

Although this game did not leave Japan, it is interesting to know the average lifespan of a game with some success. Every now and then we have End of Service announcements for many games, especially online gachas. The game had over 500k downloads in Google Play Japan only.
