Miniatures – An Artful Collection of Dark Tales Now Available on iOS

Indie game studio Other Tales Interactive has released Miniatures, an interactive collection of short stories, now available on iOS and consoles. Known for their experimental approach to storytelling, the BAFTA-nominated team presents Miniatures as a journey where childhood imagination intertwines with mystery and magical realism. With just four surreal stories, the game invites players to experience life through a child’s eyes—unearthing moments that range from heartwarming to haunting.

Each story in Miniatures offers a unique, artist-driven experience that explores simple yet profound interactions. Players can wander a mysterious seascape in The House of the Moon, assemble strange furniture in Familiar, feed creatures in The Paludarium, or build sandcastles in The Last Sand Castle. With a playtime of 30 to 45 minutes, the collection is intended to evoke both wonder and unease, capturing the complexities of childhood perspectives.

The game is not free, it is priced at $2.99 in the iOS App Store, and you can watch the trailer here. It is important to note that this is more of an experience than a game, and requires a lot of attention to detail and game art.
