After the closure of the Japanese version, Netease is re-launching, but this time globally, the mobile RPG Over Field (開放空間) in a beta phase. The game is a RPG with a “miniature world” setting and chibi-styled characters.
The game is being developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with studio EKONEKO Studio, the title places players in the role of a member of the Rota Research Institute, venturing into the mysterious alternate dimension known as the “Over Field”.
The world of Over Field is split into two main regions: the “Rota Garden” representing a more grounded, simulation-style home base, and the “Exploration Space” (the Over Field itself) where players traverse toy-like landscapes, take on enemies, collect craft materials, and engage in light combat. According to early access announcements, the beta test will run from Oct 20 to Oct 27.
It is important to know that the Japanese version officially released on October 15, 2024 got a service suspension in late 2024, this may raise questions about its long-term plans and global ambitions. You can try the game in the Google Play Store.
