Good news from Japan. NetEase Games has announced the upcoming early access for their new open-world exploration RPG, Over Field (extended as Open World: Over Field), specifically to the Japanese audience. The game is set to be available on Android, iOS, and PC platforms.
Over Field draws inspiration from several titles in the genre, most notably Genshin Impact, which has set a high bar for mobile exploration games. This meticulous and beautifully detailed RPG promises an immersive experience with vast landscapes to explore, from land and water to sky, featuring numerous interactive elements. The gameplay appears to be simpler with fewer action elements compared to other NetEase titles (Once Human from NetEase is in pre-register), but it does include combat. The game’s design features a “fitting room” for extensive costume customization, allowing players to mix and match outfits effortlessly.
The game will support cross-platform play, and while details on cross-progression are yet to be confirmed, it’s likely to be included. This feature will enable players to enjoy seamless gameplay across different devices.
