Indie game publisher Playdigious has announced that Planet of Lana, the side-scrolling puzzle adventure developed by the Sweden dev Wishfully Studios, will launch on iOS and Android on December 9, 2025. As we remember, the game was originally released for PC and Xbox in May 2023, and later for PlayStation and Switch in April 2024, the mobile version will be priced at $8.99, with a 10% pre-order discount available now at $7.99.
Set on a lush alien world invaded by mysterious robotic forces, Planet of Lana follows a young girl named Lana and her loyal companion Mui as they embark on a poetic journey to rescue Lana’s sister and uncover the secrets of their planet. The game blends stealth, puzzle-solving, and exploration, drawing inspiration from titles like Inside and Limbo, while incorporating a Studio Ghibli-like art direction.
The mobile adaptation features a redesigned interface, Game Center achievements, and cloud save support, allowing players to sync progress across devices. Playdigious has optimized the controls for touchscreens while preserving the game’s cinematic pacing and emotional storytelling.
The mobile release is expected to reach a broader audience, and I think it may have a space in the crowded mobile market thanks to its high quality design. Players can pre-order Planet of Lana now via the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android, or learn more on the official site.
