Publisher Feral Interactive has announced that Total War: Empire mobile, a classic in the historical strategy series by Creative Assembly, will launch on Android and iOS on November 21, 2024. This mobile adaptation brings the full Grand Campaign, where players lead one of eleven factions to secure global dominance in the 18th century.
Total War: Empire lets players experience the Age of Exploration and scientific advancement, marked by land and naval warfare across Europe, India, and the Americas. Naval battles, which are central to the gameplay, require strategic positioning and clever maneuvers, with the wind and other elements playing a pivotal role. Additionally, players can enjoy the Road to Independence mini-campaign, where they’ll lead American revolutionary forces against British rule. An expansion called Warpath is also set to release after launch, bringing more units and factions to the campaign in North America.
Maybe the time isn’t the best or maybe it is, the success of Age of Empires mobile may have speed up things in Creative Assembly. Optimized for mobile, Total War: Empire will have a redesigned interface suitable for touchscreen controls, with added support for iPadOS-compatible mouse and keyboard setups. Pre-registration is already available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android, with the game priced at $19.99 upon release.
