Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the next game in the historic Assassin’s Creed saga, will be released this June 6. After a long, very long wait, Ubisoft has finally given us an official date to enjoy this game on Android and iPhone. Let’s remember that this is an exclusive edition made for iOS, available for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad Air, and iPad Pro with M1 chip or later. So it is not just some random port, right Ubisoft?
As for the game itself, it follows Basim’s journey after a profound act of retribution leads him to leave Baghdad and join an ancient group known as The Hidden Ones. His quest involves honing his unique abilities, unraveling the mysteries of his identity, and embracing a newfound Creed that will profoundly alter his destiny in unforeseen ways.
Based on in-game screenshots, it’s evident that the studio is committed to adapting the Assassin’s Creed experience for touch screens, resulting in demanding hardware requirements. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature optimized touch controls and support for controllers on iOS devices.
Similar to its console counterparts, this port will offer cross-save and cross-ownership functionality. As a result, iOS users can enjoy the game on both iPhone and iPad without needing to purchase it multiple times, and seamlessly transfer their saves between these two mobile devices.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage adopts a free-to-try model, with a single $49.99 (yikes) in-app purchase required to unlock the full game. Additionally, cosmetic items familiar to Ubisoft’s PC and console versions will be available as in-app purchases, as indicated on the App Store page. Those interested can pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage for iOS on the App Store. The iOS download size is listed at 1.99GB, with additional content likely to be downloaded upon launching the game.
