The game, which offers a unique perspective through the eyes of Aspen, the Mason family cat, is a really well made game. In Cats and Other Lives, players delve into the intertwined lives of the Mason family, as observed from Aspen’s feline perspective. What sets this 2D narrative apart is its incorporation of supernatural elements—ghostly presences that haunt the family home and connect past events with present mysteries.
It is not the first indie game jumping into the mobile world, neither will be the last and I really hope to see more of this. The arrival of such narrative-driven games on smartphones contributes to a dynamic landscape where storytelling and innovation.
