KRAFTON’s creative studio, 5minlab, is developing Dinkum Mobile, an open-world life simulation game based on the popular PC title Dinkum. Dinkum, originally created by Australian solo developer James Bendon, immerses players in a charming australian outback setting where they can explore diverse environments, gather resources, and expand their towns.
Dinkum Mobile… is a game with a similar experience to Animal Crossing but introducing unique features and more interactive gameplay elements. Players can take part in activities like fishing, mining, and hunting, while customizing their towns to attract new residents and businesses.
Since its release in 2022, the PC version of Dinkum has sold over a million copies (in Steam), and the mobile adaptation should get new fans in the mobile world. These types of games always find an audience, however, I hope they don’t fill it with micro transactions or other payment systems that can sometimes be suffocating.
