Girls’ Frontline Legacy Edition – The offline edition of the popular gacha

Leaker Ceia on X/Twitter has shared interesting news about Girls’ Frontline franchise. After the chinese game’s servers went offline on December 31, 2024 (global is still going), developers have now confirmed that an inheritance version is under development under the name of Girls’ Frontline Legacy Edition.

The Legacy Edition appears to be a separate project from the online Girls’ Frontline version, hinting at a offline, non-gacha experience. Fans speculate that this version could serve as an archive, preserving all the original content while offering an self-contained experience. With the rise of offline versions for popular games, such as Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, many players see this as an opportunity to revisit the original Girls’ Frontline storyline in its entirety.

The development team has yet to confirm specific features, but it should have the game’s lore, tactical combat, and iconic T-Dolls without the constraints of gacha mechanics. While the CN app version is temporarily offline, the announcement aligns with previous statements indicating plans to retain unspent resources for future versions. When it will be out? My guess, Mid 2025.
