Japanese developer Hakony has announced its upcoming mobile game God Keeper Kemomimi Yashiro (ケモミミヤシロ) (or Beast Ear Shrine), a strategy RPG now open for pre-registration and scheduled for release in december 27, 2024. Players will embark on a journey to restore a neglected shrine as an onmyoji—a Japanese mystic—guided by a beast god girl, blending strategy with the charm of idle gameplay.
Visually, the game leans into a nostalgic quarter-view pixel art style, crafting a world rich in detail and strategic complexity. The game combines character customization with tactical depth, allowing players to organize partner characters into formations and develop unique strategies to maximize attack and defense. Partner characters each bring distinctive skills, which can be taught to others, creating powerful synergies that open new tactical possibilities. For those who prefer hands-off play, Beast Ear Shrine also incorporates an idle system that progresses even when inactive, making it ideal for busy schedules.
The problem with some releases in Japan is the difficulty of translation, in the absence of an official English name, which may even change in their global releases, if they are released at all. Anyway, here you can check the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store page.
