We have a new shoot ’em up game from Japanese studio HEXADRIVE. It is INFINITY BULLETS, a very particular name that in itself can give us an idea of what it is about. In this new game, you control Max, the main character, as he battles to save the world from the clutches of extraterrestrials known as the Futurians.
The game would offer a classic experience where players defeat enemies to gain EXP and obtain equipment and skills to fight off the massive enemy onslaugh (so classic). It features pixel art reminiscent of shoot ‘em up games from the late 80s and early 90s, it also incorporates modern technology in key areas. The game’s art direction is led by Hiroyuki Yamamoto, an experienced illustrator known for designing key visuals for famous games and box art for figures. Additionally, the pixel art and mechanical designs are crafted by Masakazu Fukuda, a renowned figure in the world of pixel art for PC games in 1990.
Although we don’t have an official release date yet, more news is expected soon. Here is the official website in english.
