Iron Roads, a mobile train management game opens beta testing

Cowleyfornia Studios has announced the open beta of its upcoming strategy game Iron Roads, a train-network simulation game. Currently in active development, Iron Roads it is an interesting game where players can build and optimize a rail network that connects various animal communities. The premise, set in a post-human world (cool), places animals in charge of society after humans have disappeared due to environmental neglect (of course).

Unlike traditional train management games, Iron Roads emphasizes eco-conscious planning as players connect animal communities across a carefully crafted map. Choices have environmental consequences: relying heavily on fossil fuels or focusing on industrial expansion can trigger floods and expand factory zones, shrinking the available land and making strategic planning crucial. The game features three main modes—Scenarios, Endless, and Challenges—to cater to different play styles, with additional game modes planned as development progresses.

Players interested in testing Iron Roads before its official release can explore a demo available on the developer’s website, join the TestFlight program for iOS, or wishlist in Steam.
