Japanese dev Imagineer has unveiled Medabots Survivors (メダロットサバイバ), the first survival action game in the long-running Medabots series, set to launch in February 2025 for iOS and Android. This free-to-play game with in-app purchases brings a fresh twist to the franchise, tasking players with surviving waves of enemies using a diverse roster of Medabots, each equipped with unique skills and strategies.
The official website states that at launch, players will have access to over 30 Medabots, including both beloved classics and newly designed characters. From firing missiles and setting traps to mowing down nearby enemies, each Medabot offers distinct abilities, ensuring intense and strategic combat scenarios. Key decisions, such as choosing which Medabots to deploy from limited resources, will be crucial to surviving each wave.
The game will feature new Medabots designed by popular illustrators, including the protagonist Medabot by Medabots S artist Tyuga, a Chang’e-inspired Medabot by Mine Yoshizaki, and a dark knight-themed Medabot by K-SUWABE. Fans can expect more new designs as the game evolves. Medabots Survivors is available to pre-register in Google Play Japan and iOS App Store Japan.
