Publisher Perfect World Games and chinese developer Hotta Studio have released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming free-to-play urban open-world RPG Neverness to Everness, introducing key features such as combat mechanics, city exploration, and the first boss fight. The game, set in the futuristic city of Hethereau, will be available on iOS and Android (yeah consoles too), with a release date yet to be announced.
So, what’s new? The trailer reveals the “Esper Cycle,” a new combat mode that combines character attributes to trigger powerful synergies during battle. Players can build up their Cycle Rate to unleash the full power of the Esper Cycle for a tactical advantage. A haunting new boss, “Picture Frame,” also debuts, using mystical paint-based attacks, adding to the game’s supernatural atmosphere.
I know the game is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, that’s why we can expect a lot from this game. Neverness to Everness promises a seamless open-world experience with fluid transitions between exploring Hethereau’s cityscapes and supernatural events. The game features immersive weather systems, unique character abilities like anti-gravity traversal, and a commitment to offering a deep, living world.
We don’t have a release date yet, but more is sure to come during the TGS 2024.
