Sad news gacha fans. Square Enix has announced via Fb that the global version of Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe will end its service on December 1, 2024, at 17:00 PST. The game, which launched globally on June 24, 2020, will no longer offer in-game purchases with paid jewels starting September 29, 2024. Despite challenges, the development team expressed deep gratitude to players for their support over the years.
As the Global Version winds down, some players are are thinking about (as usual) transitioning to the Japanese server, which continues to be profitable and offers a range of banners with top-tier units. Players interested in joining the JP version are advised that the user interface remains similar to the Global version, making the transition smoother despite the language barrier.
The game is still listed in the Google Play, but it is always sad to see a game closing operations so soon.
