I love Final Fantasy, the best RPG experience in my life. FINAL FANTASY IV (3D REMAKE)+ is arriving on Apple Arcade on December 9, delivering an upgraded experience of Square Enix’s classic with high-resolution graphics, immersive voice acting, and enhanced gameplay features.
Originally launched in 1991, FINAL FANTASY IV became a cornerstone in RPG history, introducing fans to the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, a gameplay innovation that added real-time strategy to traditional turn-based combat. This remake goes beyond nostalgia, introducing quality-of-life improvements that bring the classic title in line with today’s gaming standards. A new mapping system, for instance, requires players to explore each dungeon from scratch, while the Augment system, allowing ability transfers between characters, adds tactical depth to battles. Additionally, players can choose their difficulty level, enjoy a jukebox of iconic music, and rely on autosave to pause the game without losing progress—a major convenience for mobile users.
