Tencent Games and Shanghai Bokura Network Technology have announced the second Closed Beta Test (CBT) for Star Resonance (星痕共鸣), an open-world MMORPG inspired by Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol. This test, known as the “Resonance Test,” is scheduled to commence on April 24, 2025, for Android and PC users in China. This comes after the successful first Beta Test.
Star Resonance emerges as a spiritual successor to Blue Protocol, which was officially discontinued in January 2025. While retaining the anime-style visuals and immersive world-building of its predecessor, Star Resonance introduces significant enhancements.A open-world experience with no loading screens, a revamped action combat system featuring fast-paced attacks and combos, and a new movement system that includes running and gliding mechanics.
Players can choose from seven distinct classes and twelve combat styles, allowing for diverse gameplay experiences. The game also boasts extensive character customization options, with over 120 adjustable body features and more than 250 outfit dyeing and matching possibilities. Social elements are deeply integrated, offering activities such as group dances, fireworks festivals, and relaxing by campfires.
To apply for the Closed Beta Test, interested players can visit the official recruitment page on Haoyou Kuaibao, fill out the questionnaire, and participate in the pre-order sharing event for a chance to gain test qualifications.
