AppMagic’s latest report highlights the top 10 publishers by games revenue, showcasing a period of robust growth and strategic advancements. This period underscores the continued vibrancy and lucrative nature of the mobile gaming sector, driven by in-app purchases and massive download figures worldwide.
Leading the charge is Tencent, firmly securing its position as the top publisher with an impressive $3.2 billion in IAP revenue and 207 million downloads. Their expansive portfolio and global reach continue to set benchmarks in the industry. Following closely, Century Games demonstrated strong performance, nearing the billion-dollar mark with $996 million in IAP revenue and 100 million downloads, indicating a substantial market presence. FUNFLY, Dream Games, and Scopely also posted formidable figures, with revenues of $888 million, $877 million, and $841 million respectively, affirming their significant contributions to the market.
Further down the list, Playrix, NetEase, and King maintained their influential roles, each surpassing $770 million in IAP revenue, alongside impressive download numbers. Playrix, in particular, stood out with 112 million downloads, demonstrating strong user engagement. Newer entrants or rising stars like miHoYo, with $587 million in revenue, and industry stalwart Supercell, with $564 million, rounded out the top ten, both commanding substantial player bases with 31 million and 92 million downloads respectively.
