Tencent and LightSpeed Studios, in partnership with Square Enix, has announced Final Fantasy XIV Mobile, bringing the amazing MMORPG to iOS and Android. Supervised by the game’s legendary producer and director Naoki Yoshida, the mobile adaptation aims to recreate the epic scale of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, with playtests starting soon in China and a global launch following shortly after.
Set in the expansive realm of Eorzea, Final Fantasy XIV Mobile invites players to experience the Mothercrystal’s call, confront mighty primals, and embrace their destinies as Warriors of Light. Featuring nine jobs at launch and the beloved Armoury system, players can switch roles seamlessly to suit their journey. Beyond battles, the game offers rich non-combat activities, including fishing, crafting, Triple Triad, and chocobo racing.
This is one of the great games of the historic Final Fantasy saga. I’m glad to know that it will have a mobile version, but it remains to be seen how they will adapt the multiple controls of the game on a small screen. This is the official website, no dates yet, but hopefully we’ll have news soon.
