We got some news about Kaiju No. 8, one of the top animes this season. Akatsuki Games, with TOHO and Production I.G, has officially announced the upcoming release of Kaiju No. 8: The Game for Android and iOS (yes, PC too).
While the exact release date remains undisclosed, the game will be available as a free-to-play title with optional in-game purchases. Of course the first release would be limited to Japan, so, it may pass so time in order to see an international edition.
Based on the popular manga series Kaiju No. 8, which has been serialized in Shonen Jump+ since July 2020, the game brings the thrilling world of kaiju battles to mobile and PC platforms. The manga’s compelling narrative and action-packed scenes have captivated readers, leading to the release of an anime series in April 2024.
Kaiju No. 8 follows the story of Kafka Hibino, a man living in a world constantly threatened by giant monsters known as Kaiju. Kafka dreams of joining The Defense Force, inspired by a promise made to his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. However, life takes an unexpected turn, and Kafka finds himself working in a clean-up crew after kaiju battles. His encounter with Reno Ichikawa, a young man determined to join The Defense Force, reignites Kafka’s commitment to fulfill his promise to Mina and protect humanity.
