In a recent interview with Enzo Zhang, director of MoreFun, a studio part of Tencent, the estimated time frame for the release of The Hidden Ones was revealed to be in the second half of 2025. But it was not the only game listed, we have Roco Kingdom: World for the same time frame and Ace Force 2, with no estimated date but now we know they are still working on it (it could come out before or after Roco or The Hidden Ones).
While MoreFun remains smaller than Tencent’s heavyweights like Timi and LightSpeed Studios, it has become the company’s fastest-growing division in recent years. Since 2020, Tencent has doubled MoreFun’s staff, driven by the success of titles like Arena Breakout. Even Tencent’s founder, Pony Ma, has shown interest in MoreFun’s projects.
The Hidden Ones has already released many gameplay videos, has an Alpha test for January next year, so one might think that this action game with RPG elements, would be very close to arrive, but at least, according to the interview in Bloomberg, will have to spend a few months. As far as we know, the game will have an edition for Android and iOS, and the PC version will arrive via Steam.
