Koei Tecmo (Japan) has announced Three Kingdoms HEROES, an upcoming turn-based battle board game. The game will be available on Apple Arcade on January 9, 2025. Drawing on the celebrated Romance of the Three Kingdoms franchise, Three Kingdoms HEROES merges strategic gameplay with elements inspired by chess and shogi, challenging players to assemble and lead a team of iconic generals in tactical, skill-based battles.
The game is designed with an easy-to-understand but intricate system, the game emphasizes “Stratagems” and “Skills” instead of traditional stats, allowing players to unlock unique tactics and enjoy an immersive, strategy-focused experience. Single-player mode will feature an advanced AI opponent with various difficulty levels. In addition to AI matches, Three Kingdoms HEROES also offers Campaign, Seasonal, and Private Match modes, providing players with multiple ways to engage, whether aiming for top ranks globally or simply competing with friends.
The game seems to be top. But sadly, in iPhone it will be vertical oriented… while Mac and iPad editions will have a landscape mode. I’m not really fan of vertical game while they have the another option. This is the App Store Three Kingdoms HEROES page in the Apple Arcade.
