Japanese devs and publisher GungHo has released a new trailer for its upcoming game, Disney Pixel RPG, which is currently in pre-registration for iOS and Android. The game, set to launch later this year, is a mix between AFK elements, RPG battles, and board game-themed world maps, featuring beloved Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, the Genie from Aladdin, and Baymax from Big Hero 6.
As we can see in the trailer, Disney Pixel RPG would offer players the chance to explore multiple worlds with pixelated versions of Disney characters while we will have battles, action, and rhythm-based challenges. The game also includes avatar customization options and allows characters to farm or battle automatically. So, it gets some auto-battler RPG elements that I don’t like so much… but the combination of Disney’s vast character catalog and customization features is likely to attract a lot of people.
The game is listed with a placeholder release date of October 7th on the App Store, though the exact launch date remains unconfirmed. Disney Pixel RPG will be free to play with in-app purchases. Players can pre-order on the App Store or pre-register on Google Play.
