We got a new anime game. “Hell’s Paradise Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle” is the new game from Yūji Kaku’s “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku“ manga. The release is set to launch for smartphones and PC in 2025. The game will be a free-to-play survival RPG with in-game purchases.
The game’s development boasts notable collaborations. Anime studio MAPPA is providing editorial supervision, ensuring the game’s quality aligns with the standards of the anime adaptation. Twin Engine is contributing to planning cooperation, while Akira Kindaichi, known for scripting the anime, is supervising the game’s scenario.
Now, there are a few things to keep in mind. The manga really isn’t very long and doesn’t have, shall we say, too many characters. The question remains as to how sustainable a game of this product would be, considering that anime tend to be Gacha RPGs. I hope it’s not about exploiting the IP in a “cash grab”.
