Rust Mobile is finally making its way with a limited seven-day alpha test coming this February. As we covered before, the Alph test will launch exclusively on Android devices, but limited to Canada. There are some limits with this first test, like strict NDA rules, no gameplay footage or details from being shared publicly, and all progress will be wiped at the end of the testing phase. But of course we may get a lot of them.
Originally released in 2013 by Facepunch Studios, Rust became a hit with its hardcore survival mechanics, forcing players to manage hunger, thirst, and health while fending off both environmental threats and rival players. The combination of PvP combat, crafting, and base-building turned it into a genre-defining experience. Now, its mobile adaptation is being developed under the publishing arm of Level Infinite, with Facepunch confirming its involvement in late 2024.
The alpha test will require a high-end Android device with at least a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and 4 GB of storage, it will run from February 14 to February 22. Interested players can join the test through Rust Mobile’s official website and get more info on their Discord server.
