Chinese studio CottonGame has officially opened pre-registration for their upcoming adventure game, Sunset Hills, on both iOS and Android platforms. This hand-drawn narrative puzzle adventure game take players into a Victorian-inspired world inhabited by anthropomorphic dogs. A lot of heartwarming storytelling and a classic point-and-click gameplay.
Set seven years after a significant war, players step into the paws of Nico, a novelist embarking on a journey to reconnect with former comrades and uncover personal stories. The game combines elements of mystery, friendship, and self-discovery, all rendered in a painterly art style.
Gameplay involves traditional point-and-click mechanics, solving puzzles, mini-games, and clues to progress through the narrative. From boarding trains to baking confections, each task is designed to reveal more about Nico’s past and the world around him. The game also have controller support, it is not strange considering it was originally launched on PC via Steam in August 2024.
The game has received recognition as the Best Indie Game at the ChinaJoy exhibition in Shanghai, despite mixed reviews. Now we can pre-register in mobile platforms, with an expected release date of May 1, 2025. Pre-register now on the App Store and Google Play.
