Blue Protocol: Star Resonance – Global release announced for 2025

After the second Beta test, Blue Protocol is officially making a comeback under the name Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, an open-world anime MMORPG developed by BOKURA, Tencent and officially licensed by Bandai Namco. The game is set to launch globally on Android, iOS, and PC this year, marking a fresh start for the franchise.

Originally developed by Bandai Namco (they sold the licence to China) and planned for a worldwide release with Amazon Games, Blue Protocol faced setbacks, leading to its cancellation in early 2025. However, thanks to Tencent’s backing, the project was revived under Shanghai Bokura Network Technology, incorporating elements from the original while introducing new mechanics and improvements.

Set in the continent of Magna, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance offers a vast open world, allowing players to explore, battle, and customize their characters. The game features cross-platform play, ensuring seamless progression across PC and mobile. Players can get into strategic raids, boss battles, and social activities like fishing, dancing, and guild interactions, making it a well-rounded MMORPG experience.

If we count the anime-inspired visuals, immersive world-building, and engaging multiplayer elements, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is shaping up to be a solid choice in 2025.
