MapleStory Worlds Global soft launches in the US and Latam on October

Here we go. Nexon America is set to soft launch MapleStory Worlds on October 16, 2024, for players in North and South America. The new platform, which would be the global edition, will be available on mobile (and PC). This new entry will offer users the opportunity to create and explore their own customized MapleStory experiences.

Well, the thing about the Maplestory game saga is that every now and then a new version comes out that tries to emulate the success of the original edition. The one that came out on PC many years ago and is still active. But “Worlds” seems to be an attempt a bit more on the creative side. Why? In this game creators can design various game genres using a drag-and-drop interface with over 30 million MapleStory assets. Players can explore user-generated content, interact with friends through chat rooms, customize avatars, and even sell goods in the avatar shop.

The soft launch promises a nice experience, drawing on the social aspects of the original MMORPG, and positions MapleStory Worlds as a competitor to platforms like Roblox (good luck with that). Players can join by pre-registering on Google Play or following the official website, X/Twitter page or the Discord Server for updates.
