In a recent announcement, Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games revealed that the global version of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator will cease operations on March 28, 2025, at 11:00 (UTC+8). This decision comes after developers concluded they could no longer maintain the game’s standards to ensure player satisfaction. A financial decision.
The game only lasted one year, but since its launch, devs made a lot of events and continuous improvements. Despite these efforts, they have determined that discontinuing the service is the most appropriate course of action. In-game purchases have been suspended as of January 27, 2025. Leading up to the closure, several in-game events are planned until the very end.
As a fan of the Atelier series, it’s always disheartening to see a beloved game reach its conclusion. This game deserves the offline client service that other games are getting, like Dragon Quest X, Girls’ Frontline or Cinderella Nine, but there are no news about it. So, it may be just and end.
